Palm Tree Cookies

Palm Tree Cookies, originally uploaded by gensler97.

These cookies were for a summer party. I could definitely have done a lot more with them, but my time was limited and they were just accent cookies. The hardest part about making them was getting them to the baking tray straight. As you can see, some of them are leaning quite a bit. It adds a bit of variety I guess.

These are really cute! I wonder, does it work to roll the dough out on the sheet (or on a silicone baking sheet), and cut the cookies out right on the sheet?

I agree with you that it would be easier to roll it out on a silicone baking sheet and cut it before baking, but I have not taken the time to buy one yet.

I use royal icing for everything.
